Documentation and Certification Engineer – Hungerford
Fuel Cell Systems is seeking a Documentation and Certification Engineer to join our team in Hungerford. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our hydrogen hardware systems meet the highest standards of compliance and quality. Fuel Cell Systems is an innovative provider of Hydrogen hardware systems, including the design, build, and supply of proprietary refuelling systems for hydrogen mobility applications and integrated modular Electrolyser systems for hydrogen production, storage, and dispensing.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Documentation and Certification Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with design, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure that all technical documentation meets regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards.
This role is responsible for compiling technical files to achieve CE marking compliance and producing key documentation such as Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Key Responsibilities:
· Collect and organize information required for CE marking, including risk assessments, test reports, and design specifications
· Develop clear, concise, and user-friendly Operation and Maintenance manuals
· Ensure compliance with relevant directives, regulations, and standards (e.g., Machinery Directive, ATEX, PED)
· Stay updated on relevant EU/UK regulations and standards affecting product certification
· Liaise with TÜV certification bodies to facilitate product testing and certification as needed
· Maintain accurate records of all technical documentation and certification files
· Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and quality teams to gather necessary information.
What We’re Looking For:
· Strong experience of compiling technical files: You will have previously worked in a role to achieve CE marking compliance and producing key documentation such as Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals
· Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and project management skills
· Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines
· Commitment to Quality: Dedication to continuous improvement and maintaining high standards
· Project Management Skills: Strong Project Management skills to handle multiple deadlines and priorities
· Technical Expertise: Knowledge of relevant EU/UK directives and standards (e.g., Machinery Directive, Pressure Vessel Directive, ATEX Classification).
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical writing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
· Proven experience in preparing technical files and documentation for CE marking
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation tools.
Desirable Experience:
· Familiarity with other certification frameworks (e.g., UKCA/CE, UL, ISO standards)
· Experience with TÜV certification processes
· Experience with CAD software for incorporating drawings into documentation
· Previous experience in the hydrogen or automotive industry.

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee asset maintenance and support operations, ensuring reliability and performance of cutting-edge hydrogen refuelling equipment. This position will be based in our Hungerford facility.
The Maintenance Manager will focus on the upkeep and performance of hydrogen refuelling systems, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining asset efficiency and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
